Two luxury domes in Northern Michigan

We booked the Aurora Dome for an anniversary trip for our first time in Michigan. We enjoyed a drive up the coast from Grand Rapids, stopping at a number of lake side towns on our way into Benzonia. We had a loose itinerary of a couple of things we wanted to do but thanks to other reviews we read before the trip we knew to plan a day just to stay and enjoy the dome during our visit. We loved the sauna and cold water therapy tank as those are both amenities you pay for at spa resorts just to use for a short period of time. We had no idea how bright it would be so late into the night and early morning and loved how much we felt connected to the nature around us. To note: Our neighboring dome could be seen from the deck/hot tub which we didn’t realize when booking so it gave a semi private feel vs. a truly secluded vibe but we only saw the other guests a couple times during the week. All in all we’d recommend an early July stay at the dome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ weather and ambiance!

The Perfect Girls’ Getaway in a Magical Geodome! We just came back from the most incredible girls weekend at this gorgeous Geodome in northern Michigan, and I can’t say enough good things! Sisters, sister-in-laws, and honorary sisters (aka sister-wannabes 😉) all gathered for a weekend full of connection, laughter, and total relaxation—and this dreamy dome was the perfect backdrop. The space itself is stunning—cozy, well-appointed, and full of thoughtful touches. We soaked in the private hot tub under the stars, unwound in the sauna, and ended each night around the campfire, sharing stories and making memories we’ll never forget. The trails right from the property made for peaceful morning walks, and we even squeezed in a beach day! The location is ideal—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and secluded, but close enough to explore the charming lakeside towns along M-22. We had the best time popping in and out of boutiques, grabbing local treats, and soaking

Staying in a dome at Glamp Michigan was everything I had hoped for. Relaxing and wonderful surroundings. The only thing that would have made it better was specific instructions on air and heat. It wasn’t a system we were used to!

The dome stay ranks in our family’s top 5 accommodations we’ve stayed in. It’s so great to be secluded, even though it was a 40 minute drive to Glen Arbor or SBDunes. The drive in Michigan is so beautiful anyway, being a little further away from that main attraction didn’t matter. We loved being in the dome enough that we were never rushing to leave for the day. It’s super clean, it’s so great having full size appliances, the sleeping arrangements are perfect for a family of four, and it didn’t feel cramped with our two tweens, and we usually hate sharing space with them! We prepped meals to go out beaching and hiking each day, and there was plenty of kitchen supplies. We REALLY appreciate decent coffee (just basic Starbucks ground coffee) without making it overly complicated (some glamping places we’ve stayed have weird fancy/complicated pour over systems or other machines or then cheap coffee) . Coffee is so important and a small feature we appreciate. The beds are lovely, the hot tub and sauna are a great fun feature. We also loved that our car is right there at the unit; many glamping properties across the country require parking a bit away and then using carts to transport your stuff which is not helpful when you forgot your charger or water bottle in the car that’s a 5-minute walk away. We loved this. We have plans to stay again. Wonderful concept.

The dome is a luxury paradise! Easy to get to and access. Fabulous amenities. Responsive and attentive owner. Tons of things to do there or within a short drive away. Would do again and again!

Our stay at Löyly was amazing; it was exactly the kind of retreat we had hoped for. The location is peaceful but close to so many of the wonderful things northern Michigan has to offer (beaches, hiking trails, wineries, etc.). The property itself is beautiful. Löyly is stylishly furnished, simple yet very cozy. We loved the sauna and made full use of the chef's kitchen. We're already looking at the calendar to try to figure out when we can go back!

Where to start....Back story, my husband and I came as a mini-moon. We do these instead of having taken a honeymoon when we got married in September 2019. This exceeded everything we anticipated! Everything was intentionally thought out! The property was beautiful! We utilized everything, except sauna and. Old plunge....NEXT TIME! Because my husband is hooked and we'll be back again for an off season mini-moon! We traveled to east jordan glassworks and stopped along the way finding new destinations to visit with our Camaro Club! Thank you for creating such a beautiful destination! The Loyly Luxury Dome was AMAZING. The owner was very easy to get in contact with and answered any concerns or questions I had. It was so relaxing and beautiful. I will be booking again…..

The dome was amazing! The owners keep them stocked with anything you might need; extra towels, extra toilet paper, makeup removal wipes, razors, shampoo, conditioner , body wash - we brought all of our own things, but if you forgot to pack it, they probably have an extra for you! The owners checked in with us halfway through our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I also really appreciated the fact that it was decorated so beautifully and it really felt so warm & cozy. Also, who doesn’t love access to a full sized coffee pot while staying away from home?! They supplied coffee beans and a grinder so you can enjoy a freshly ground cup of coffee in the woods. 10/10 will forever recommend, it was such a vibe and my family loved this experience! I can't rate this place highly enough! My wife and I stayed here over the weekend, and we loved it. The dome was perfectly clean and comfortable. Aaron clearly has a high attention to detail to make a great experience for guests. Note the hidden drawers when looking for silverware. They are actually really cool, and I'm trying to convince my wife we should get them. There is a lot of snow in the wintertime (as expected in Northern Michigan). This was no issue at all. The driveway was plowed every morning, and there are shovels if you need a little extra removal. Beware of falling snow. Snow falls off trees onto the dome and sometimes off the dome. There is no need to worry about this but note that it may make some noise from time to time. Aaron was a great host. We were worried we would be traveling in blizzard conditions, and Aaron was very helpful with recommendations. He also left great nearby recs of things to do nearby. We would love to stay again soon, but it books FAST.
